Simple Calculator is operated by CAESS GmbH in Dürnten (Canton of Zurich, Switzerland). Stefan Schulze, Managing Director of CAESS GmbH and author of the site, is responsible for the calculators and their content.

Every calculator runs directly in your browser. No input is sent to a server for the calculation. Which usage data is collected with your consent is explained in the privacy policy.
The calculation methods are defined in the program code. Value tables and direct answers that follow from a calculator’s formula are computed from the same formula as the calculator result when the page is built; they are not typed in by hand. Tables inside the explanatory text, on the other hand, are part of the text and are checked together with it.
The texts on the calculator pages, that is the short summary, the explanatory text and the answers to common questions, were drafted with the help of an AI language model. Such a draft can contain errors. That is why we check the texts step by step: formulas, figures and statements are compared against primary sources such as studies, standards, laws or official data. Not every text has been checked yet.
Once content has been checked, a note appears below the calculator: what was checked (formula, explanatory text or answers), when, by whom and against which sources. The sources are linked.
The note confirms that the calculation method and statements matched these sources on the date of the check. If there is no note, the content has not been checked yet.
If you spot an error, let us know via the question “Was this helpful?” below each calculator (“No”, then “Wrong result”) or by email to simple-calculator@caess.ch. We correct confirmed errors, and where the same error appears in other languages, we correct it there too.
Results are based on the values entered and the formulas stated. They are not a substitute for medical, tax, legal or financial advice.
Simple Calculator is free to use without registration. The site is funded by advertising (Google AdSense), which is only loaded with your consent. Advertising has no influence on calculation methods or results.
